Katrina was born the youngest of three on March 3, 1993 in Greenwich Village, NYC to Alberto and Lucia Torres. Isabella is the oldest, Alexia the middle sister. Katrina, or Kiki and sometimes Kat, to her friends was a typical baby sister. She followed her big sisters around from the time she was old enough to walk. She always had this look about her that made sure that she got her way.
She is a daddy's girl, and had daddy wrapped around her finger. She still does. Isabella was the realistic one, the typical oldest. She was the mom like one. But at the same time, she was a dreamer, always wanting a happy ever after. Alexia was the smart one. She got the best grades; wanted to make a career for herself before she fell in love. She was also the pretty one. Their mother put the two youngest daughters in to pageants. Alexis continued on through their childhood and teens and because Alexia continued with it Kiki continued on. Of course Alexia always placed higher than Kiki, going so far as to win Miss Teen. Kiki always made it a competition. She was always trying to do better then her sisters, mainly Alexia. It was hard for her watching her sister always be better than her. And with Alexia being so close in age it made it harder. Isabella was enough older that it wasn't as big a deal, though it was like having two moms sometimes.
The one thing Katrina had that was her own was her clothes. She had a lot of hand me downs at first. But with her Abuela taught her to sew, she started making her own clothes. From that moment on she knew what her calling was. She was in the fashion design club at school, and she always made sure she had something new to wear. Because she used old clothes and just put them back together in new ways she saved her parents a lot of money ok clothes, which kept them happy.
When she was 6 she met her best friends, Ce and Sasha. The girls meshed well, with Sasha being the one to come up with the wild plans and Kiki making them happen. Ce was the one to make sure the plans didn't get them arrested. She made sure they didn't get in too much trouble. The girls were best friends. They did everything together, shared everything.
As Katrina entered high school she still was very into fashion but was starting to experiment socially. She had her first drink at a house party her sophomore year and her first real make out at that same party. At the end of her junior year she had a date that led to her losing her virginity. She was good in school and had the same boyfriend for half of high school. They broke up when he went away for college.
After high school Kiki moved in with her sister. She attended The New School majoring and receiving her AAS degree in fashion design. She did the fast track finishing in two years. She moved on quickly starting her own fashion line, Dream out Loud.
Carmen, a new friend, moved in with her around the time of superstorm sandy and then when Lexi moved out Carmen and Katrina took over the apartment lease until a couple of years later they moved out separately.
