When Sam was a sophomore he had his first job at A&P as a delivery boy. He continued with that job part time for the rest of high school. He tried a brief stint as a camp counselor but never went back. He likes kids but not enough to be a full time baby sitter.

He joined a garage band his last two years od high school and they played gigs all over town and at school dances.

In college he joined a sports fraternity, which is basically a requirement for the guys on the basketball team. This helped to keep his grades up. He contiunued to work part time at the supermarket as a delivery boy.

After college he go a job as a physical trainer at the YMCA.
