Chase comes attached to Diana more than anyone else, who always was more maternal than their mother. Keith was constantly disappearing for days on end, leaving Natalie alone with her children. Other Old Ladies chipped in this time, and that was how it came that Chase was raised to know the club so well.
Infants Chase and (twin) had their own little club, language, and were inseparable growing up.
in 2001 during one of Keith's disappearing acts, Natalie received a surprise visit from Child Protective Services. Three year old Chase was playing with some figures on the floor in the living room at the time a knock came on the door and next thing he knew Nelle was crying, which made Chase cry, crying harder when he, his twin and Nate were sent away from their sisters.
Chase doesn't remember much from this time, living with a strange family and his brothers without their parents or sisters.
By the time Chase is old enough to have his first memory Natalie was out of their lives and Keith was beginning to clean up his act. Chase and his brother were 5 when they found out their mother had really passed away, OD'ed. They had not understood where she had went until that moment. They were young and barely understood death, but Chase knew their siblings were upset and now he knew why.
Chase grew closer to his dad, the one parent he had left, no matter how bad of a father he was. He paraded women in and out of the kids lives. Chase would often sneak to see the beautiful women his father brought home, fascinated by them. At 7 he was curious about their bodies and would talk a about it with his twin but was a little embarrassed to talk about it with his older brother and especially not with his sisters.
It wasn't till he was a teenager that he had more confidence to ask his older brother why he was suddenly feeling these feelings for the older women that their father brought home.
After awhile Chase began to notice that one woman, Lucinda, had become a regular around the home. She even asked Chase and his twin to call her Mommy. Chase always refused because he knew she was not his mom. Plus he was also confused about all the other Old Ladies that still sometimes came around to help out. They seemed like Moms too. He just wasn't sure.
As it turned out Lucinda was pregnant. She grew meaner as the pregnancy progressed. Lucinda even punched Nelle, an act that Chase had seen but hadn't been sure what to do about it. he knew not to hit women and he was afraid enough of Lucinda to not tell anyone on her. Diana must have found outabout her hitting Nelle because she was home more often shortly after that.
And shortly after that Jacob is born (their half brother). Keith disappears again and the baby is driving everyone crazy. Luckily the baby is disraction enough so that Chase and his twin can disappear and hide out even more so now.
At 8 years old Chase spent most of that summer outside with friends avoiding Lucinda and the home as much as possible.
Then a year later Lucinda tries to drown Jacob. Diana saves the baby and Keith comes home. Chase is confused and not sure what entirely is going on. All he knows is that Lucinda is gone. finally. And Diana has taken over as mom once more.
When Chase was 11 his older sister Diana dropped out of school even and began to work two jobs. There were times that Chase would accidentally call her Mom. Keith was still a drunk. Nate also got an after school job but Diana wouldnt let him give up school. While Nelle was spiraling out of control with the wrong crowd. Chase knew a few of the guys his sister was hanging out with but for now he remained in control not wanting to be like his father or mother, or Lucinda for that matter. He was using his oldest sister as his role model.
When Keith once again gets a strange woman pregant and Chase realizes he will be a big brother yet again that is when he begins to hang out outside the home more often. His father does not even care for the kids he has and still continues to have more and Chase is at a loss to what to do.
Then on Christmas morning when Chase is 13, the family got a surprise they weren't ready for. Police officers showed up at the door, asking questions and then finally putting Keith in hand cuffs. One stayed behind to explain everything to Diana with Chase eavesdropping. Nelle had run out of the house. Chase was hiding under the tree watching this all happen afraid and unsure what he could do to stop it. At 13 he thought he should be more mature but he was lost. He called one of the Old Ladies he had grown fond of and she came to check in on the kids.
As it turned out, Keith was being charged with murder, and a few days later, Child Protective Services showed up again, taking Nelle, Chase and his twin and Jacob. He wished he could have stayed with Diana or gone with that nice Old Lady but CPS would not allow it. Diana was guardian of Sasha so they couldn't take the baby and Nate was old enough not to be taken. But once again they separated Chase and his twin and Jacob this time from Nelle.
Only weeks before he was to begin high school Diana showed up with papers that showed that she had full guardianship of all of the children and was able to get him out of that home.
Chase managed to graduate high school, despite all his obstacles and he even visits Keith in prison but also goes to the MC Clubhouse and more importantly to that one Old Lady for support.
When he turned 18 he became a Prospect.
